How to restore dashboards through version history
Learn how to view, compare and restore previous versions of your dashboard using the version history feature
Accessing version history
At the top right of your page, you will find the dashboard button. Clicking on it will show a list of options where you can select Version history.
Viewing previous versions
You can click on any version in the list to preview how your dashboard looked at that point in time. This will not save or restore anything automatically. It simply allows you to view the dashboard at that moment.
This is useful if you want to see previous layouts, configurations or data connections. It also helps if something has been changed or deleted by mistake.
Restoring a previous version
If you want to restore a version of the dashboard, click Restore version in the top left.
A confirmation window will appear asking you if you are sure. Once you confirm and click restore, your dashboard will revert to that saved version.
When to use version history
It is a good idea to use version history whenever you have made significant edits or if you want to experiment with design changes and have the option to roll back easily.
