Getting started with Settings

Settings is where you manage your profile, notification preferences, security, organisation configuration, and Object Manager setup.

Note: Previously, Admin and Object Manager appeared as separate sections in the left navigation sidebar. They are now part of Settings: 'Organisation' replaces Admin, and 'Objects' replaces Object Manager.

How to open Settings

Select the gear icon in the top right corner of Vatix Workspace.

Sections in Settings

Settings is divided into three sections, listed in the left sidebar: 'Personal', 'Objects', and 'Organisation'. Select a section to see the pages inside it. The sections you see depend on your role and the Vatix features available to your organisation.

Personal

All users can access the Personal section.

  • 'Profile': your user record and personal information
  • 'Notifications': control how you're notified about activity (visible to users with an Events or Audits licence)
  • 'Security': manage your password and two-factor authentication

Objects

Users with Object Manager access can see the Objects section.

Contains your objects (Events, Sites, Assets, Contacts). Each one has its own Field Manager and Layout Editor for configuring fields and record layouts. Events also has Forms, Pipelines, Safety Metrics, and Assignment Rules.

Organisation

Account Owners can access the Organisation section.

  • 'Users': add, edit, and manage users
  • 'User Fields': configure the fields shown on user profiles
  • 'Groups': create and manage groups
  • 'Teams': manage teams
  • 'Company settings': organisation-wide configuration, such as your company logo
  • 'Licences': view your licence allocation

Note: Account Owners with Object Manager access see both 'Organisation' and 'Objects' in Settings. Managers and Users with Object Manager access see 'Objects', and they also see 'Organisation' with 'User Fields' in it, because that is where the fields on user profiles are configured. The rest of the Organisation pages stay with Account Owners.
