How to find, filter and export Risks
Applies to user roles: Account Owner, Manager, User
Available on platforms: Vatix Workspace web app
The Risk Register is as much about working across your Risks as recording any single one. Search, sorting and filters cut a long register down to the part you need, whether that's everything owned by one person, everything still open, or everything due for review this month, and you can take any view of it out as a spreadsheet to share or report on.
Everyone with a Risk Register licence sees the same register, holding every Risk in your organisation, whatever their role. Go to 'Risk Register' in the left sidebar to open it.
Note: Risk Register is currently available to a limited number of organisations. If you don't see it in your left sidebar, contact your Account Owner. Account Owners can contact their Vatix account manager to find out more.
What the register shows
Each Risk is a row, with a column for 'Name', 'ID', 'Owner', 'Status', 'Inherent risk', 'Residual risk', 'Next review date' and 'Created'. The two scoring columns show the score and its rating, in the colour of that rating.
Click any row to open that Risk.
How to search for a Risk
Type into 'Search' at the top right of the register. The list narrows as you type.
How to sort the register
Click a column heading to sort by it, and click again to reverse the order. Sorting by 'Residual risk' puts your highest remaining exposure at one end of the list.
How to filter the register
- Click 'Filters' above the list.
- Choose the column you want to filter on.
- Choose the condition and the value.
Filter on 'Status' to work through your open Risks, on 'Owner' to see one person's Risks, or on 'Next review date' to find the Risks coming up for review. Any fields your organisation has added through Field Manager can be filtered on too.
How to change which columns you see
- Click 'Columns' above the list.
- Switch columns on or off.
Use 'Density' next to it to fit more rows on the screen.
How to export the register
- Click 'Export' above the list.
- Choose 'Export current view' to download what is on screen, including your filters, as a CSV file.
- Or choose 'Export all records' to export every Risk. A download link is emailed to you when it is ready.
