How to link a Task to an Asset

You can link a Task to an Asset to keep track of work that needs to be completed in relation to that Asset:

  1. Go to 'Assets' in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Asset you want to link the Task to.
  3. Click the 'Related' tab.
  4. Click 'New Task'.
  5. Enter the Task name, assignee, and due date.
  6. Click 'Create Task'.

The Task will be linked to the Asset record. If notifications are enabled, the assignee may also receive an email notification.

 

How to link an Audit to an Asset

You can link an Audit to an Asset so that Audit records stay connected to the relevant Asset record:

  1. Go to 'Assets' in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Asset you want to link the Audit to.
  3. Click the 'Related' tab.
  4. Click 'New Audit'.
  5. Select the form template you want to use.
  6. Complete the Audit form.
  7. Click 'Submit'.

Once submitted, the Audit will be linked to the Asset and will appear in the 'Related' tab.

 

How to link Assets to other records using Lookup fields

You can create additional relationships between Assets and other records (Sites, Contacts, Events, and Documents) by using Lookup fields.
