How to link Contacts to other records

You can link Contacts to other records so related information stays connected in the right place in Vatix Workspace.
By default, Contacts can be linked to 'Tasks' and 'Audits' from the 'Related' tab on the Contact record.
How to link a Task to a Contact
You can link a Task to a Contact to keep track of work that needs to be completed in relation to that Contact.
- Go to 'Contacts' in the left sidebar.
- Open the Contact you want to link the Task to.
- Click the 'Related' tab.
- Click 'New Task'.
- Enter the Task name, assignee, and due date.
- Click 'Create Task'.
The Task will be linked to the Contact record. If notifications are enabled, the assignee may also receive an email notification.
How to link an Audit to a Contact
You can link an Audit to a Contact so that Audit records stay connected to the relevant Contact.
- Go to 'Contacts' in the left sidebar.
- Open the Contact you want to link the Audit to.
- Click the 'Related' tab.
- Click 'New Audit'.
- Select the form template you want to use.
- Complete the Audit form.
- Click 'Submit'.
Once submitted, the Audit will be linked to the Contact and will appear in the 'Related' tab.
How to link Contacts to other records using Lookup fields
You can create additional relationships between Contacts and other records (Sites, Assets, Events and Documents) by using Lookup fields. This allows you to link Contacts to other modules beyond the default related records. Learn more in this article.
