How to link Documents to other records

Linking Documents to other records helps you keep related information connected across Vatix Workspace. You can link a Document to an Audit or a Task so that users can quickly access the right information in context.

How to link a Task to a Document

You can link a Task to a Document to keep track of work that needs to be completed in relation to that Document:

  1. Go to 'Documents' in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Document you want to link the Task to.
  3. Click the 'Related' tab.
  4. Click 'New Task'.
  5. Enter the Task name, assignee, and due date.
  6. Click 'Create Task'.

The Task will be linked to the Document record. If notifications are enabled, the assignee may also receive an email notification.

How to link an Audit to a Document

You can link an Audit to a Document so that Audit records stay connected to the relevant Document:

  1. Go to 'Document' in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Document you want to link the Audit to.
  3. Click the 'Related' tab.
  4. Click 'New Audit'.
  5. Select the form template you want to use.
  6. Complete the Audit form.
  7. Click 'Submit'.

Once submitted, the Audit will be linked to the Document and will appear in the 'Related' tab.
