The Protector Mobile app is being renamed to Vatix

On Monday 5 October 2026, the Protector Mobile app is being renamed to Vatix. The name and the icon on your phone change. Everything else stays exactly as it is: the same app, the same login, the same data.

There is nothing for you or your team to install.

What changes on 5 October

The name and the icon

The name under the app icon changes from Protector Mobile to Vatix. The icon changes at the same time.

The app store listings

The App Store and Google Play listings change to Vatix.

What stays the same

Everything else, including:

• your login details, so there is no need to sign in again
• all of your data, forms and history
• your notifications, and who receives them
• raising an alarm, Timed Alerts and Fall Detection, which work exactly as they do today
• the app's place on your phone, and its settings and permissions

It is the same app with a new name, not a new app, so nothing needs downloading and nothing needs setting up again.

If your phone still says Protector Mobile

The new name and icon appear the next time the app updates. If automatic updates are switched off, the app keeps the old name and icon until it is next updated, which can be a while for an app that is not opened often.

It is the same app either way, so nothing is wrong if some people in your team see Vatix and others still see Protector Mobile.

If you cannot find the app

Look for 'Vatix' and the new icon, in the same place on your phone as before. The app has not been removed and it has not moved.

The Workflows app is also being removed

On the same day, 5 October 2026, our older Workflows app is being removed from the App Store and Google Play.

Workflows is a separate, older app. If you or your team still use it, switch to the Protector Mobile app, which becomes Vatix on the same day.

For Account Owners and Managers

Four things are worth doing before 5 October.

Tell the people who use the app. The name and the icon are both changing, so anyone looking for Protector Mobile on their phone may not find it. Without a heads-up, people may assume the app has been removed.

Speak to IT if your organisation installs apps centrally. Where apps are pushed to work phones rather than installed by each person, IT usually manages them, so it is worth letting them know before 5 October.

Update anything of your own that names Protector Mobile. Onboarding notes, intranet pages and training materials.

If your team still uses the Workflows app: Workflows is a separate, older app that we are removing from the app stores on 5 October. If this applies to your organisation, please ask them to switch to the Protector Mobile app, which becomes Vatix on the same day.
