How to assign a Safe Pro device to a team

Applies to user roles: Account Owner, Manager

Available on platforms: Vatix Workspace web app

If your organisation uses shared Safe Pro devices, you can assign a device to a team instead of to a named user. Team members can then check the device out through the Protector Mobile app at the start of their shift.

Note: Managers can only view and edit devices that have been assigned to their team.

How to assign a Safe Pro device to a team

  1. Go to 'Lone Working' in the left sidebar.
  2. Select 'Devices'.
  3. Find the device you want to assign to a team and open its record.
  4. Click 'Edit'.
  5. In the 'Teams' field, select the team or teams you want to assign the device to.
  6. Click 'Save'.

The device record will update to show the selected team in the 'Teams' field.

Note: When a team member checks the device out through the Protector Mobile app, their identity and Alarm Response Profile will be linked to it for that session.
