How to check in and confirm HomeSafe in the Lone Worker app

Check-in and HomeSafe are two safety features in the Protector Mobile app that help you confirm your status during and at the end of a lone working shift.

Use check-in to confirm you are safe during a shift. You can check in at any time, either when a colleague requests it or proactively on your own.  Use HomeSafe at the end of your shift when you have returned safely.

How to check in

  1. Open the Protector Mobile app.
  2. Go to the 'Safety' tab (the shield icon in the bottom navigation bar).
  3. Swipe the 'Swipe to check-in' bar from left to right.

The bar will turn green, and  'Last check-in' will update to 'Just now'.

How to confirm HomeSafe

  1. Open the Protector Mobile app.
  2. Go to the 'Safety' tab (the shield icon in the bottom navigation bar).
  3. Tap the house icon on the right side of the 'Swipe to check-in' bar.
  4. A 'Confirm HomeSafe' dialog will appear asking "Are you safe at home? Your status will be updated."
  5. Tap 'Yes'.

A 'HomeSafe Confirmed' message will appear and 'Last check-in' will update to 'Just now'. Your status will be updated and visible to any colleagues who have you in their Safety Checks list.

 

Note: HomeSafe is a manual confirmation. It does not trigger automatically when you arrive home. Complete it at the end of every lone working shift.
