How to send check-in requests to other users in the Lone Worker app
Learn how to use the 'Safety Checks' tab in the Protector Mobile app to add colleagues, send check-in requests, and manage your Safety Checks list.

In the Protector Mobile app, you can keep an eye on your teams and colleagues during a shift and send check-in requests when needed.
The 'Safety Checks' tab in the Protector Mobile app lets you add users from your organisation, manage your Safety Checks user list, and send check-in requests when needed.

Note: To send a check-in request to a user, you must first add them to your Safety Checks list.
How to add colleagues to your Safety Checks list
- Open the Protector Mobile app.
- Tap the 'Safety Checks' tab (the people icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Tap the blue '+' button in the bottom right corner.
- In the 'Manage Users' dialog, use the search bar to find colleagues, or scroll through the list.
- Tick the checkbox next to each colleague you want to add. You can select multiple people.
- Tap 'Save'.
Your selected colleagues will appear in your Safety Checks list. Their 'Last activity' shows when they last checked in or confirmed HomeSafe. A dash ('-') means no activity has been recorded yet.
How to request a check-in
- Open the Protector Mobile app.
- Tap the 'Safety Checks' tab (the people icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Find the colleague you want to check on. Their last activity will be shown on their card.
- Tap 'Request check-in'.
The colleague will receive a push notification asking them to check in. Once they respond, you will receive a notification confirming that their status has been updated.
How to manage your Safety Checks list
To remove a colleague:
- Open the Protector Mobile app.
- Tap the 'Safety Checks' tab (the people icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Swipe left on their card and tap 'Remove'.
Alternatively:
- Open the Protector Mobile app.
- Tap the 'Safety Checks' tab (the people icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Tap the '+' button.
- Untick the colleague in 'Manage Users'.
- Tap 'Save'.
Note: Safety Checks is separate from the alarm and monitoring system. Requesting a check-in sends a push notification to your colleague. It does not raise an alarm.
