How to use Event Pipelines in an Event record

Applies to user roles: Account Owner, Manager

Available on platforms: Vatix Workspace, Protector Mobile app

An Event Pipeline helps tailor how an Event is handled by organising the process into stages.

Depending on how the pipeline has been configured, the Event record can highlight relevant fields, show required fields, and provide guidance for the current stage.

How to view an Event's pipeline and current stage

In Vatix Workspace web app:

The Event Pipeline name is shown in the top-right of the Event record.

Below the title, a stage bar shows all stages in order, with the current stage highlighted.
If stage guidance has been set up, it appears as a banner that you can dismiss.

By default the 'Details' tab shows only the fields relevant to the current stage, confirmed by a banner reading 'Showing fields relevant to this stage'.

Click 'Show all fields' to see the complete field list. When all fields are shown, the banner reads 'Showing all event fields'; click 'Show only relevant fields' to switch back.

In the Protector Mobile app:

The Event Pipeline name is shown at the top of the Event record, next to the Pipeline label.
Below it, the Stage row shows the current stage (for example, 'New'). Tap the info icon for stage guidance, or tap the arrow to change the stage.

By default the Details tab shows only the fields relevant to the current stage, confirmed by a banner reading 'Showing only relevant fields.' Tap 'Show all fields' to see the complete field list. When all fields are shown, tap 'Show only relevant fields' to switch back.

Fields are grouped into sections (such as Event Information) that you can collapse or expand.

How to advance an Event to the next stage

In the Vatix Workspace web app

  1. Go to 'Events' in the left navigation bar.
  2. Open the Event record.
  3. Review the stage guidance and complete the relevant fields for the current stage.
  4. Click the next stage in the stage bar.

In the Protector Mobile App

  1. Open the Protector Mobile App.
  2. Go to the 'Events' section in the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Event to open it, then complete the relevant fields for the current stage.
  4. Tap the stage name in the 'Stage' row, then tap the stage you want to move to.

Note: If required fields are configured for the current stage, you won't be able to advance until those fields are completed. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.

How to change an Event's Event Pipeline

Note: Changing an Event's Event Pipeline is available in the Vatix Workspace web app only.

  1. Go to 'Events' in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Event record.
  3. Click the Event Pipeline name in the top-right dropdown.
  4. Select the Event Pipeline you want to move the Event to.

The Event moves to the first stage of the newly selected Event Pipeline.
