How to create an Alarm Response Profile
Applies to user roles: Account Owner, Manager
Available on platforms: Vatix Workspace web app
An Alarm Response Profile defines who responds to an alarm and in what order. You can create as many Alarm Response Profiles as you need, but you can only link one to each user.
How to create a Vatix 24/7 Monitoring Alarm Response Profile
- Go to 'Lone Working' in the left sidebar.
- Select 'Alarm Response Profiles'.
- Click 'New Profile' in the top right corner.
- From the dropdown, select 'Vatix 24/7 Monitoring'.
- Enter a name in the 'Alarm response profile name' field.
- In the 'Alarm responders' section, click '+ Add Contact'.
- Enter the first contact's name and phone number.
- Add any relevant information in the 'Instructions (Optional)' field.
- To add another responder, click '+ Add Contact' again.
- Click 'Create'.
How to create a Self-Monitoring Alarm Response Profile
- Go to 'Lone Working' in the left sidebar.
- Select 'Alarm Response Profiles'.
- Click 'New Profile' in the top right corner.
- From the dropdown, select 'Self-Monitoring'.
- Enter a name in the 'Alarm response profile name' field.
- In the 'Alarm responders' section, click '+ Add Action'.
- In the first step, leave 'Make a Call' selected.
- Enter the contact name and phone number.
- To add another escalation step, click '+ Add Action'.
- Repeat this process until all required escalation steps have been added.
- Click 'Create'.
The Alarm Response Profile will appear in the list showing its monitoring type and the number of users assigned.
