How to submit an update from the Lone Worker app
Applies to user roles: User (Lone worker)
Available on platforms: Protector Mobile app (Lone Worker app)
You can submit an update during a lone working session to share useful context with the ARC or your emergency contacts.
Updates can include:
- a text message
- a voice message
- a photo
Use this if you move to a new area, your task is taking longer than expected, or you want to provide extra information in case of an emergency.
Note: Updates become visible to responders in the alarm record if an alarm is raised. For example, if you submit an update saying you are visiting a customer at a specific address, and an alarm is raised in a couple of hours, responders can see that update in the alarm record.

- Open the Protector Mobile app.
- Tap the 'Safety' tab (the shield icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Tap 'Update'.
- Tap 'Send Text Message'.

Tip: Keep your update short and relevant. A note, voice message, or photo showing your location, task, or any risks can give responders useful context if something goes wrong.
