Getting started with Audits
The Audits module helps your organisation create, complete and manage structured Audit forms in the Vatix Workspace web app and the Protector Mobile app.
You can use Audits to standardise checks across your organisation, record findings in a consistent format and keep related follow-up activity connected to the right records. For example, a completed Audit can be linked to a Site, Asset, Contact or Document, and any follow-up Tasks created from the Audit can then be tracked separately.
This helps teams keep a clearer record of what was checked, what was found and what action was taken afterwards.
What you can do in Audits
In the Audits module, you can:
- create Audit form templates with sections, questions, and different response types
- mark questions as mandatory
- add guidance notes to questions
- enable scoring at Audit and section level
- schedule recurring Audits 'Schedules' section
- attach photos, files and comments to individual questions
- create Tasks from Audit findings
- export completed Audits as PDF files
- link completed Audits to other records such as Sites, Assets, Contacts and Documents
Who can access and manage Audits
- Account Owners can create and manage Audit Form Templates, view submitted Audits, and manage Audit Scheduling
- Managers can complete Audits, review submissions and manage Audit Scheduling
- Users can complete and submit Audits assigned to them
How Audit Form Templates work
An Audit Form Template defines the structure of the form, including its sections, questions, response types, required fields, guidance notes and scoring criteria.
How Audit Scheduling works
Audit Scheduling allows recurring Audits to be assigned automatically. This is useful when the same inspection needs to be completed regularly and can help teams stay consistent with routine checks and make it easier to see what is upcoming, overdue or already completed.
