Vatix product updates - V26.8.0

This release lets you choose how each notification reaches you, adds @mentions in document comments and help text on record fields, simplifies the Tasks view, and introduces a preference for these product update emails.

Choosing how each notification reaches you

You can now choose, for each notification, whether it reaches you by email, in your Inbox, or both. A new 'Inbox' column in your notification settings, next to 'Email', controls which notifications appear in your Inbox on web and mobile.

Document mentions

You can now @mention people in comments on a document, just as you already can on the activity feed of events, sites and assets. Type '@', pick a person, and they're tagged and notified, in the app and by email, with a link straight back to the document.

People who don't have access to the document aren't notified, and a new 'Document mentions' toggle in the notification settings lets everyone control whether they receive these.

Product update email preference

There's a new preference in your notification settings that controls whether you receive product update emails like this one. You can switch it on or off at any time.

Actions

A single Tasks view

'Tasks' and 'My Tasks' are now a single 'Tasks' view, defaulting to tasks assigned to you that aren't yet complete, consistent with how Audits and Acknowledgements already work. You can clear or change that filter at any time to see other tasks.

Object Manager and record fields

Help text on fields

You can now give the people filling in your records in-context guidance on any field you configure in Object Manager.

When you edit a field you'll see two separate options: an 'internal note', seen only by people with Object Manager access editing the field, and 'help text', which is customer-facing.

Where help text is set, an info icon appears next to the field on the record in both view and edit mode, revealing the guidance on hover.
