How to open a document acknowledgement request
You can open a request in a few ways:
- Click the link in the email you received. It takes you straight to the acknowledgement page.
- Open the notification in your inbox in the Vatix Workspace. Read more about inbox notifications in this article.
- Open the 'Acknowledgements' tab in the 'Actions' section.
How to acknowledge a document
- Go to 'Actions' in the left sidebar.
- Click 'Acknowledgements'.
- Find the document in the list. Each row shows the document name, its 'Status' ('Pending' or 'Acknowledged'), and the 'Due date'.
- Open the document you need to acknowledge. The header shows the document name, its version, the due date, and who requested it.
- Read the document in full, scrolling from top to bottom. The 'Reading progress' bar at the top fills as you go. The 'Acknowledge' button stays locked until you have scrolled to the end of the document. This makes sure you have seen the whole thing before confirming.
- Once you have read to the end, click 'Acknowledge'.
- In the 'Acknowledge document' window, check that your name is correct in the 'Full name' field. You can edit it if needed.
- In the 'Signature' box, sign with your mouse or touchpad. To start again, click 'Clear'.
- Tick the box 'I confirm I have read and understood this document'.
- Click 'Submit'.
Note: The 'Submit' button stays disabled until you have entered your name, added a signature, and ticked the confirmation box.
After you submit, a confirmation screen appears. It shows the document name, the date and time you confirmed, and a reference ID you can copy.
Your acknowledgement is now recorded and cannot be changed. If you open the link again later, you will see this same confirmation screen with your reference ID and timestamp. You can also find it at any time under the 'Acknowledged' filter in the Acknowledgements tab.
