Vatix product updates - V26.10.0

This release lets you reactivate users yourself, fill in more of their details when you add a group of people from a spreadsheet, arrange your folders and Documents in the order you want, and keeps the data you export safer for longer.

Settings

Reactivating users yourself

You can now bring a deactivated user back yourself, without contacting Vatix support. Deactivated users stay in your Users list with a 'Status' of 'Inactive', so you can find someone, open their profile, and click 'Reactivate user'. They can log in again straight away with their existing password.

Reactivating restores the account, not everything that was removed when you deactivated them, so you'll need to reassign their product licences and any devices afterwards. For more information, see how to deactivate and reactivate a user.

Adding a group of users with their details filled in

We recently added more detail to user records, including job title, employee ID, start date, department, employment type, country, associated site and line manager. The spreadsheet you fill in to add several people at once now has a column for each of them.

Everyone arrives with a complete profile, so there is no going back through the list one person at a time. Every one of the new columns is optional, and leaving one blank leaves that field unset. For more information, see how to add users to your Vatix account and how to manage user fields.

Documents

Arranging your Documents library

You can now put your folders and Documents in the order that suits how your organisation works, rather than the order they happened to be created in. Drag an item by the handle that appears when you hover over it, and the new order saves automatically for everyone in your organisation.

For more information, see how to manage folders in Documents.

Exports

Download links in export emails now expire

When you export your Events, Sites, Assets or Contacts, Vatix emails you a link to the finished file. That link now stops working after seven days, so an old export email sitting in an inbox or passed on to someone else no longer opens your data.

If a link from an older export has stopped working, run the export again to get a fresh one.
