On the Safety tab of the Protector Mobile app, you can discreetly activate the alarm to initiate a two-way voice call with either our highly trained responders at the Alarm Receiving Centre (Vatix 24/7 Monitoring) or your designated escalation contacts (Self-Monitoring).

Please see this article to find out exactly what happens when you raise an alert.

To raise an alert:

1. Press and hold the Alert button for 3 seconds.

2. The app screen will turn red, and your phone will make a call to our Alarm Monitoring Centre or the escalation contacts you chose, this depends on whether you have Vatix 24/7 Monitoring or Self-Monitoring. Even if the alert was raised accidentally or for testing purposes, it is critical to complete the phone call once an alarm is raised, so that the responders can check that you are safe and close down the alert.

3. Once the call is picked up, you can speak to the responder (Either from our Monitoring Centre or your emergency contacts), who will provide you with the assistance you need. For 24/7 Vatix Monitoring, there will be a short period of silence where the responder will be assessing the situation. The app screen will remain red until the alert has been closed by the responder who accepted it.

See here for how to deal with a false alert.
